The importance of chicken coop ventilation in four seasons!

Whether raising chickens in captivity or free range, there must be a chicken coop for the chickens to live in or rest at night.
However, the chicken coop is generally closed or semi-closed, and the smell in the chicken coop is not very good, so it must be ventilated at all times.
The toxic gas produced by some excrement is not good if it has been indoors.
Therefore, we must pay attention to the ventilation problem in all seasons. Then learn how to ventilate together.

ventilation method

Mechanical ventilation is divided into positive pressure ventilation and negative pressure ventilation.
The negative pressure exhaust fan is used to forcibly discharge the polluted air;
Positive pressure is to use a fan to force the air out, and the air volume is smaller than the air intake;
Natural ventilation, open windows to use natural wind and indoor air to form hot-pressure flowing air. Suitable for open chicken coop, but in order to remove toxic gases, use axial fans;
Mixed ventilation is divided into longitudinal directions, with an exhaust fan installed on one end of the gable wall and an air inlet on the other side.
The horizontal direction is that the fan and the air inlet are located on the two opposite walls of the chicken house.

Spring and autumn ventilation

In these two seasons, the temperature changes greatly, from high to low, so ventilation can be carried out during the day when the temperature is high.

As long as the temperature does not drop to the point where the chickens cannot adapt, ventilation can be strengthened as much as possible.

Mainly air exchange, exhaust gas, moisture, dust. When the temperature drops at night, vertical ventilation cannot be used, and lateral ventilation is required.

Use the overall mixed ventilation method in spring and autumn.

Summer ventilation

Ventilation in summer has the effect of reducing heat. The higher the wind speed, the cooler the chickens feel, so the ventilation can be strengthened in summer.
Use longitudinal ventilation and set up wet curtains, which are suitable for closing the chicken coops. The ventilation volume needs to be specially calculated, and the most suitable ventilation volume is determined according to the area and space of the chicken house. Natural ventilation, you can open more skylights.

Winter ventilation

In order to keep warm in winter, all exhaust air must be turned off, and the minimum ventilation of the chicken house should be controlled by time. When using it well, pay attention that the outdoor air-conditioning cannot be directly blown to the chickens. Note that the ventilation should be differentiated according to the size of the chickens.
Regular ventilation is required, and the ventilation time is set, generally no more than once every five minutes. If the temperature fluctuates too much, stop ventilation.
