The weather is hot in summer. In order to eliminate the adverse effects caused by the high temperature in summer, comprehensive heatstroke prevention and cooling measures must be taken to create a good growth environment for broilers to obtain maximum economic benefits.
Take effective cooling measures
Excessive air temperature affects the growth performance of broilers, and comprehensive measures should be taken to control the temperature in the chicken house.
(1) The sunshade net can be pulled over the chicken house, and trees are planted on both sides of each chicken house. The lush poplars block the sunlight that illuminates the chicken house, which can generally reduce the temperature of the chicken house by 3~8℃; increase the roof and Insulation of exterior walls.
(2) Set a water curtain at the air inlet of the chicken house. The lower end of the water curtain should not be lower than the height of the chicken bed. The other end of the chicken house is equipped with an exhaust fan to assist air circulation, which can generally reduce the temperature of the chicken house by 3~6℃; noon , When the temperature is high in the afternoon, water can be sprayed on the roof or corner of the chicken house to assist in cooling.
(3) For farms that breed broilers on the ground, reduce the thickness of the bedding material appropriately, so that the chickens are as close to the ground as possible, and at the same time replace the wet bedding material.
(4) Fans can be arranged reasonably to increase the air flow speed in the chicken house to reduce the temperature of the chicken; or on the premise of keeping the air fresh, an intelligent air conditioner can be installed to control the temperature in the broiler chicken house within a suitable range.
Reduce breeding density
The density of chickens should be determined according to the ambient temperature, humidity and type of chicken house. If the density of chickens is too large, it is not conducive to the dissipation of heat in the chicken house, the feeding and drinking of chickens, and affects the growth of broilers, which may easily lead to the occurrence of heat exhaustion of broilers.
In the hot summer, the stocking density should be reduced as much as possible, and the reasonable stocking density should be about 10% lower than the normal stocking density. 30 chickens/m 2 when entering chicks, and gradually adjust as the chickens grow, 10.8 chickens/m 2 for non-closed chicken houses and 12 chickens/m 2 for closed chicken houses; the number of chickens is about 300 chickens.
Adjust feed structure
To do a good job in summer broiler production, the diet structure should be adjusted and the feeding method should be changed. The feed intake of broilers will decrease with the increase of temperature, and the formula of feed should be adjusted reasonably to ensure the daily nutrient intake of broilers.
(1) Increase the fat content (about 2%) to make up for the reduced energy intake due to the decrease in feed intake. An appropriate amount of bile acid is added to improve the digestion and absorption of fat and improve the adaptability of broilers during heat stress.
(2) Reducing the protein content and keeping the protein level as low as possible can reduce the increase in heat consumption during protein metabolism. The essential amino acid content is increased by 5%~10%, creating a reasonable protein pattern.
(3) Vitamin C is supplemented in the diet, and the secretion of glucocorticoids in chickens increases during heat stress. Vitamin C is the raw material for synthesizing glucocorticoids. Adding 2g of vitamin C premix to each kilogram of feed can increase the weight gain rate of broilers. increased and decreased mortality due to high temperature.
When the temperature is too high, increasing the amount of electrolysis multi-dimensional in drinking water can well alleviate the harm of heat stress to broilers. In addition, keep the feed fresh, reduce the amount of each purchase, and use it up in about a week, and pay attention to the cleanliness of the feeding trough when feeding.
